Aviv Keshet (b. 1995) is an interdisciplinary performance artist. Born and raised in Israel-Palestine and a 2022 graduate of the School of Visual Theater in Jerusalem, Keshet works with found objects and texts to probe and negotiate the relationship between abstract images and experiences – visual, auditory, tactile – and concrete lived experiences, enmeshed in socio-political realities. She believes that both found objects and found ideas/texts are readymade materials that can be transformed or translated into symbols and images within her work's vocabulary. By moving back and forth between the abstract and the concrete, she puts two mirrors facing each other, so to speak. Between them, she finds an infinity that is born from life—one that opens a path for change and transformation.
